Sports Management Internship
The Sports Management Internship consists of both the operations and communications aspects of Sports Management. Interns assist GGI staff with the planning and execution of GGI practices, scrimmages, and tournaments; with field and event site set-up, equipment management, and customer service; and with general office and administrative support. Interns will receive hands-on experience in a variety of aspects of sports management.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing event and field schedules
- Managing equipment, supplies, and uniforms
- Creating and maintaining team and division information
- Create/maintain team and division info in online scheduling and sports management software program.
- Assisting with sports registrar duties
- Overseeing the logistics and planning of MN Go Get It teams
- Assist in the creation/maintenance of communications.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant information according to GGI privacy policy.
- Providing guidance and support for various projects
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., Recreation/Sports Management)
- An effective and professional communicator, both written and oral
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Must be computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and Outlook)
- Understanding of and passion for Sports
- Enthusiasm for GGI mission and the families we serve
Compensation and Benefits:
- THIS POSITION IS UNPAID - Fulfillment of internship hours, paperwork and credits at 15- 20 hours per week.

COACHING ASSISTANT/ VOLUNTEER
The role requires a deep understanding of the game, a commitment to player development, and the ability to foster a positive and competitive team environment. The goal is to teach and mentor student athletes to become better young men on and off the field.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes game strategies, trains players, and helps to build
a winning team.
- Organizing sports events and scheduling practice sessions.
- Preparing and maintaining training equipment and facilities.
- Assisting with the recruitment of students for the program.
- Monitoring and evaluating team performance.
- Maintaining records of students, training sessions, games, performance statistics, and equipment.
- Organizing travel arrangements including transport, accommodation, and meals.
- Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the head coach.
- Building a positive team environment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in coaching
- Written and oral communication skills

- Demonstrated successful leadership ability
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to work weekends & evenings, and to travel
